The March Table is the result of a desire for a more personal fine dining experience both visually and texturally.
Breaking from the homogenous standard, the March Table gives the texture and softness of a fine linen top without the shapeless aesthetic of cloth-draped tables. It integrates a linen tablecloth within the bowl - concealing the excess and revealing a precise edge.
Functionally, the top quietly unscrews into two vis à vis a mechanism inside the bowl. Multiple methods were tested to select the most quiet and seamless method for replacing a table linen during service.
A custom fabrication process was designed to using a 3-axis CNC mill to create the sculpted hardwood form.
A structure of carved European beech, with accents of brass patina, the table holds a modest and still elevated form with soft edges. Traditional joinery is updated with CNC application, allowing for the most visually appealing aspects of the woodgrain to be displayed.
The March Table is currently manufactured in a 2-person table, 4-person table, and also a pedestal version for a larger, and more flexible number of seats. The pedestal March table is also adaptable to a 10-foot banquet table with the same clean-linen top aesthetic.
